In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have introduced specific safety measures to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of all visitors, staff and suppliers to Clip ‘n Climb Nottingham.
We would like to ask all our customers not to visit our centre if they are displaying any signs and symptoms of Covid-19 in accordance with Government guidelines.
A full list of safety measures being taken are listed below:
- Enhanced cleaning regimes are being carried out in all common areas.
- Hand sanitisation stations are positioned at numerous locations within the centre.
- Hygiene screens are positioned at the reception desk and café till.
- Our staff are equipped with PPE and this will be used where appropriate.
- All visitors over 11 years are requested to wear a face mask or covering during their visit.
- We are encouraging our customers to use contactless payment whilst visiting our centre.
Acceptance of risk
The safety measures that have been introduced are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus, but this risk cannot be completely eradicated. Therefore, anyone visiting Clip ’n Climb Nottingham must acknowledge that they do so at their own risk.
FAQ’s
When are you open?
During term time we are open Wednesday to Friday (sessions from 1:00pm until 7:00pm) and every weekend (sessions from 9:00am until 5:00pm). During the school holidays we are open every day (sessions from 10:00am until 4:00pm) and we are open most bank holidays. Please see booking page for opening times and session availability.
What should I wear to climb?
We recommend wearing something comfortable. Footwear that is easy to climb in (no heels or open-toed shoes). We do not allow rock/climbing shoes at our centre. We also recommend that adult helpers (Clippers) wear closed-toe footwear within the climbing arena. We advise that jewellery and hooded tops are removed before climbing.
Is there a weight limit to climb?
The maximum weight limit for our TRUBLUE auto belay system is 150kg (23.6 stones).
What should I do before I visit?
Please book online where possible. We also recommend checking our website and social media for any updates.
What do I do if one of my climbers are ill at the last minute?
All online bookings are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy. If a member of your family or group is not able to attend, we recommend re-allocation of the space to someone else. Alternatively, please contact our centre as soon as possible, as with adequate notice it might be possible to resell the space, although this cannot be guaranteed. Are parents/guardians allowed in the climbing arena?
Yes, we allow 1 adult helper (Clipper) per child under 10 years in the climbing arena, providing that they have attended the safety briefing and have a wristband clearly visible. For safety reasons, we recommend that Clippers wear closed-toe footwear in the climbing arena.
Are we able to purchase a Leap of Faith?
Yes, the Leap of Faith can be purchased on site during your visit, please check availability at reception. There is an additional charge of £2.50 for this activity and height restrictions apply (climbers must be at least 1.2 meters tall).
Is the café open for hot food?
Yes, food and drinks can be purchased from our on-site café during centre opening hours. Please check café closing times on arrival. Please note that we only allow food that has been purchased on-site to be consumed within the centre.
It’s my child’s birthday, can I bring in a birthday cake?
Yes, whether you have made a group booking online or booked one of our party packages, we are happy for you to bring in a birthday cake (this is the only food that we allow to be brought into the centre).
Do you run sessions for toddlers?
Yes, we run a Toddler and Family session at 9:00am every Saturday and Sunday. These sessions are 60 minutes in total (this includes safety briefing & climbing) and the price is £9 per climber. A non-climbing (non-paying) parent/adult is required to fully supervise any toddler under 4 years. Older siblings and adults can also climb on these family sessions.
Are you running SEN sessions?
SEN sessions run at 9:00am every weekend, as they follow the same format as our Toddler & Family sessions (lower climber capacity, low music and shorter safety briefing and climbing time). Please contact our centre via phone or email if you have a specific query, or would like to know more about how we cater for climbers with disabilities or additional needs.
Are you taking party bookings?
Yes, party packages can only be booked via reception. Please contact our reception team via phone or e-mail for more information and booking.
Is there a play area for toddlers?
Yes, there is a small designated play area for children under 4 years of age. This play area is located upstairs on the mezzanine and includes a toy box with a selection of books and toys.
